Slithering under an invisible blanket
Suffocating and grasping for breath
She crossed a new hurdle everyday
She was aware of losing balance
Of sliding down the treacherous hill of shame
Into the depths of darkness
But she kept moving on with renewed hope
Like a snake or a shapeshifter that sheds its skin to make way for the new epidermis
She shed her flaws, her fears, her insecurities and her weaknesses
To feel the birth of a new desire, new aspirations, new love and a new HER
Though we glorify melancholy and everything oninuous
She knew she would not romanticise her desolation, her laments, her cracks
For she was a winner, a fighter, a challenger
She was a WOMAN
