The Battle Within

Wailing behind the curtain of sanity
Takes immense strength and self-control
The abuser forgets the abused remembers
But puts on a new mask every day for a new role

Thy words piercing like a knife newly sharpened
She finds herself asphyxiated every moment
The feeling of being worthless and the demons inside her
Are now slicing her insides every second

What does she wait for?
A stranger’s concern, a mother’s care,
None she would accept
Like a limping soul, she wakes up each new day
In search of a treasure, she has hidden in her mind’s closet.

Pierre Joubert

This site is a hommage to Pierre Joubert, one of the greatest illustrators ever lived. He was born in Paris (june 27, 1910 and died in La Rochelle on January 13, 2002). On Wikipedia is suggested that (quote): ¨He had a controversial site. He has been tarred with collaboration with the Nazis during Worldwar II¨. Documents, however, have proved that this is not true. Intimi have confirmed that.
